Sustainability & Craftsmanship:

Responsibly sourced and sustainably handcrafted all of Ila diamonds & gemstones are responsibly sourced and also pre-screened by a diamond expert. Since certificates don't have the whole story, each diamond and gemstone is individually checked so that you'll always get a top tier diamond with the highest cut grades.

Ila uses recycled precious metals certified by The Conflict-Free Sourcing Initiative and by the SCS Recycled Content Standard V6-o.

The Ila family has more than 40 years of diamantaire experience. Over the years Ila has cultivated personal relationships with cutting factories, mining companies, and foundries. Ila gemologists purchase directly from these sources ensuring that Ila diamonds and gemstones are sourced in a sustainable manner.

A majority of Ila's apphires originate in Sri Lanka where the government has the most control over gemstone regulation. The government tightly regulates that sapphires be mined by family owned businesses or small companies. Sri Lanka favors small operations over large companies and automated machinery.

Diamond Origins:

The sight holder status of the ILA diamond factories allows them to source rough diamonds from responsible mines in Canada, Botswana, Namibia, South Africa, and Russia, which they purchase after they have been cut and polished.

Diamond Quality:

ILA's natural diamonds are rigorously assorted to have exacting brilliance and to fall within their tolerance for color and clarity. GIA, or the Gemological institute of America, has the strictest standards of any laboratory and is ILA's choice of certification.
