WOW!...A understatement when describing this incredible handmade jute beach bag! The green and pop of pink stand out in a crowd, the perfect size beach bag, and insanely durable and stylish! This tote will quickly become your summer favorite.
This bag is the perfect option for a fun but mindful shopping alternative, as you can take them to carry your holiday essentials, your everyday go-to, or for shopping and traveling. They are a joyous stylish feature for your wardrobe or even as home decor.
These bags are 100% jute, which is a strong plant grown locally in Bangladesh. The nature of this material means that the bags can withstand intense use and the test of time. And after a long and happy life, they can biodegrade on the compost.
Using jute is also a clever option when thinking about our carbon footprint and the climate impact of our products. Indeed, jute grows much quicker than cotton (it can be harvested every 4 to 6 months) and requires much less water. Studies suggest that jute is beneficial to the soil and air of the area, acting as a carbon sink.*
Sustainability is a long journey and we know we are miles away from perfect but choosing jute as the main material of our products, is a promising step towards a fairer, more sustainable method of production.

About The Brand:
The beautiful and durable hand-crafted jute “word-bags” from The Jacksons are a joyous outcome of the design collaboration between Louise and the skillful handicraft workers in south-west Bangladesh. The partnership began in 2012 and The Jacksons are now working closely with over 3000 women in Bangladesh in an area where there are few job opportunities for them. We are doing more than just designing and creating a brand: we are striving to help overcome poverty and improve the women’s social standing. They now have access to free medical care and schools through this dynamic collaboration. Our ladies are paid directly which gives them independence and status, empowering them to make decisions within the family. A large percentage are educating their daughters up to sixth form and some are going to university. This was impossible only six years ago and Louise visits regularly to see at first hand the real benefits.
